Katy Myers is the founder of IRL Communications, LLC, also known as NBD Public Speaking.

Katy grew up in Indianapolis and is a proud graduate of Warren Central High School and Butler University. As a kid, she got 'talks too much' on her report cards, and then in high school she joined the speech team. Her success on the team made selecting a college major pretty easy: communications.

For nearly a decade, Katy worked for nonprofit organizations where she was creating and publishing both digital and print materials. While Katy was designing social media graphics and writing press releases, her nerdy love of public speaking remained. She coached a high school team all the way to a sectional championship, as well as her friends and colleagues who were preparing for something special. She once hosted a power point party and asked her friends to give a speech *for fun*.

Katy started NBD Public Speaking to help people build the skills and confidence to make it no big deal to talk to a crowd of people. With a two-sided business, she hopes to help clients of all different backgrounds and objectives bring their ideas to life with effective and compelling communications.
